Renting points DLP

A member who purchased direct from Disney or before the first round of resale restrictions can book hotels in DLP with points. But the value is absolutely awful so that awfulness would translate to you renting the points.

For example, 4 nights for next May (after the 25th celebrations will start) including a week end would cost 218 points for the Newport Bay Club. Renting at $15 you would pay $3270 for an hotel room. This doesn't include park tickets.
Now, going on the official UK Disneyland Paris website I've found a package with the current promotion (2 nights free for 2 booked) for £770: it's $960 including park tickets for two adults! Way less than a third.

Long story short: it doesn't make much sense to use DVC points for DLP.

Yep - using pts outside the DVC resort system is a poor value.

So renting pts for non-DVC purposes is an even worse value.
