Renting Points at BLT - Club Access?

If we rent DVC points and stay at BLT, will we get access to the Top of the World club?

Technically, you are supposed to be a member, but there is always a chance that you may be allowed up with your room key. I'd say expect not to get in, and be pleasantly surprised if it works out otherwise...

They often ask to see the blue member card. If you don't have one, you won't be allowed up. Plan on not going up.

We rented last February and had no problem getting in. Of course, our room was on the top floor too, so we had to use that elevator, and had to use our room key to get up to that floor too.

In October, we barely had to show a room key to be allowed up. And even then, anyone loitering would know how to get up without one. The gal at the desk just told us to let the guy at the elevator know, "Jessica said we're ok."

Note, her name wasn't Jessica, I don't remember what it was.

I showed my KTTW card, my wife and daughter did not. She may or may not have looked to see if it was for BLT and that we were members. She didn't look at it long enough that I could tell - but looking everyday and knowing where to look, maybe she did.
