Renting points at Bay Lake Tower

Hi all. We have 2 days left on our tickets from Hurricane Ian in September, so we just secured 3 nights at Bay Lake Tower the first week of May 2023 using David's for DVC points. We are 3 adults - myself (upper 50s), my daughter and her friend from college, both 26. Wondering if anyone knows if we will be able to access Top of the World? Some threads on Facebook seem to suggest people renting points have gained access.

I can't refute any claims from people who say they were able to access TOTWL when renting DVC points. All I can say is that the CMs manning the downstairs checkin are only supposed to admit DVC members who are eligible for Membership Extras (have a blue card) and are staying onsite via their membership. So I would not expect your party to be admitted.

Some may have made it up when it was open to all members. Under the new rules, I would highly doubt it. CMs are checking cards, not just bands.

Some may have accessed the TOTWL when they were assigned a room on the 16th floor. The current rules don't permit access, and the old rules didn't permit access, either.

Even those who own DVC but are not eligible for membership Magic are no longer eligible to go up since it reopened in July

You need to show a DVC membership card with DVC Y to enter.

If you do not have that, you will be denied entry.
