Renting: Not a newbie, but a newbie question

I have not been on the DISboards for a while, but I remember there being a thread that listed the availability or lack thereof or the various DVC resorts. I am unable to find it. Am I dreaming or does it no longer exist?

The Availability thread was retired when an online booking system became a reality for DVC members.

With the new system, members could check availability real-time. The availability thread was a compilation of DIS DVC reports. It was more an indication of when nights were unlikely to be available than an indication of what was available.

Anyway, the online system really made it moot.

I guess that it is all about perspective... As a non-DVC owner, it provided me with an idea of availability w/o having to ask someone. In any case, I understand that it is gone.
