Renting in march, a few questions.

DW and I have rented a studio at BWV. We have done this a couple of times using the same DVC owner with no problems. The room has been reserved in my name BUT our last names were spelt wrong on the reservation. I contacted the owner and they are going to call and correct it.

Can I call WDW to confirm my reservation and the name change? Who would I call? Resort?, DVC, WDW?.......

I know the airline tickets would be a problem if the name is spelt wrong.
What impact would room reservation misspelling be?
Probably already changed but I like to follow up on these type of things myself so problems can be avoided.

If they have my DME transportation with the wrong spelling also, I'm thinking that wouldn't be a problem?

Also I still have to call for park tickets. It sounds like I have to have the tickets linked to my WDW reservation so I can preselect FP+ as an onside guest?

You will not be able to call, only the owner of the points the reservation was made with can call.

You can try to retrieve your reservation at: MyDisneyReservation.com/DVC. You need to enter your last name so if it's been changed, it will pull up under the correct spelling. You can also view details of the reservation which will show all listed occupants.

As for FP+, you need to link the room reservation and park admission to My Disney Experience (MDX). MDX is where you would customize your MagicBands and make your FP+ selections.
 
You shouldn't have any trouble. I have a very unusual last name and it is often spelled incorrectly. I've never had a problem at any of the resorts. If it doesn't get fixed beforehand just tell them at the front desk that the name is spelled wrong on the reservation and they will find it quicker. I actually saved a lot of the room cards with humerous spellings of my last name.:)

But, were you able to link any of those that were misspelled to your MDX profile?
 

Good point, the last trip my name was spelled correctly on my reservation, but my AP with the name spelled incorrectly was linked to MDE.:confused3

To link tickets/passes, you just enter the ticket number (no name), then assign to an individual.

To link a room reservation, you need to enter the confirmation number and last name. MDE may not link room reservations when the spelling of the last names differ.

I always do my room reservations on-line, so there is never an issue with spelling of names.
 
Thanks for the replies... I figured if I called I couldn't change anything as I'm not an owner but was hoping to verify the info. I'll contact the owner again soon but thought I'd ask here...
