How would I go about renting a place from a DVC member? I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks

Go down to the DVC rent/trade forum and either post what you are looking for, or see the tons of posts of people renting their points. I'm sure that if you're interested in someone's points on there, they will help you once you contact them. There is also a DVC point chart on that forum (at the top), which will give you an idea of the # of points that you will need to rent for your trip. Let me know if you have any other questions! :goodvibes

Go to the boards for DVC. They have threads about renting.

Hi yesallmine

I just rented points from a DVC member last week for our Jan trip. I wish I would have know about this years ago. While I can't speak for all renters I can tell you the process has been a piece of cake for me so far. I am looking so forward to our trip to SSR. Definetly check out the Rent/Trade Boards and the point calculator, they were alot of help for me.

Good luck and have a great trip.

Thanks everyone!! I never thought to rent points---always do the two hotel room thing! Thanks for the heads up!

Absolutely look into renting points. I'm renting for the first time as well for a
trip in Dec. at SSR. I have a 2BR villa with full kitchen, W & D, two full baths,
sleeps 8. It takes 108 points for a M-TH, at $10/pt. When I checked how
much it would cost just to book through Disney...$550/night. YIKES. Saving
over $1,000 renting the points. AWESOME. :thumbsup2 The member I'm
renting from has been great and has basically done everything for me through
DVC Member Services. He's even made my DME ressie for me. All I did was
send a check. Aaaaaah....I'm starting to relax already! ;)
