We are at a point with my husband that having access to a scooter can be helpful for him. When we did WDW it was on day 3 that we started to rent from the park.

He doesn't need it all the time.

What is the scooter rental situation at Disneyland. I am going to look into renting one that we can take back to the hotel- but would rather rent at the park as we need it.

1. Do they run out often or is it rare that they run out?

2. If we want to take a mid day break I assume we can't leave with it.. do we have to pay again?

3. Best options for renting from a private company?

Thread 'Best non-Disney hotel with an ECV'

Hi all! I am planning a Disneyland trip with my mom who has been having some mobility issues, so we are planning on renting her an ECV (from a third party, not planning on renting the ones at the park). This will be a first for all of us!

I am wondering about getting from the hotel to the park entrance - any recommendations for non-Disney hotels that would be best suited for this? If the hotel is within walking distance, could we just drive the ECV from the hotel to the security entrance? Alternatively, I see some hotels might have shuttles that we could load the ECV on. Thread 'Scooter rental, GCH and rides'

My db had hip replacement surgery and it looks like he will not be able to walk our usual distances at DLR and may not be able to get in and out of some rides.

I am looking into rental options--I see there are some hotels that have scooters to rent. What is available at GCH and how does it work? Thanks so much--a lot to figure out here.
