Hi! Does anyone have any experience with renting an ECV and staying at Pop Century? Where does the ECV stay at the hotel? Will the buses accomodate the ECV?

ECV goes in your room. All of the buses can handle loading and unloading ECVs and wheelchairs.

And please keep your ECV in your room and not out in the open where it will block other people from getting to their room. if you find you need more room then you can have the table and chair removed but with the remodel, I think there is more room in the rooms now. and yes all bus can accommodate at lest two mobility devices.

Thank you for your response!

As of last week, the remodel was still in progress, as they were working on building 10. An ECV in the old rooms would be a tight squeeze, IMO. We had a very hard time fitting an extra cot in there. An ECV isn't as big as a cot, but even when folded the cot took up a lot of prime space. I'd get the smallest ECV that would handle your weight.

My friend and I have stayed at PoP and we had no problem with all of my things, ( medical, food, clothes) her things and an ECV, We never needed to have the table and chair removed. Another reason why you do not want to keep it out side is that you are responsible for the ECV and a someone might come along and think it is funny to move your ECV ( you can put it in manual mode and move it) or if it rains, Extra, but like I said if you find you need more room you can have the table and chair removed.

Glad you could fit your ECV inside. For us, with 4 people in the room, the added cot, half folded like a futon (one side up resting against the wall, the other side down) took up a lot of space, making it rather uncomfortable for all four of us to be in the room. The half-folded cot was a bit bigger than an ECV, but it did take up valuable floor space. So if space is an issue, I'd suggest asking for one of the refurbed rooms if you only need one bed. that way, you'd have the queen sized bed, the murphy table, and plenty of room for an ECV.

I was just there last weekend with my ECV, which is my personal one and larger than the typical rental ones. We had an older room that hasn't been refurbished with the two beds. I didn't think I was going to be able to get it in, but discovered that while the headboards are attached to the wall, the actual beds move so I pushed one over a bit and was easily able to fit the ECV in between the bed and the far wall, and there was an outlet right there to plug it in.

it must be stored INSIDE your room at all times and may NOT be left in any hallways or public space.

ECVs can be accommodated on all buses but you may have to wait for one that has room, especially if the bus shares with other stops or resorts.

Luckily, at Pop Century there is the one bus stop. So the first and second ECV in line should fit (and they have dedicated waiting spots to make it easier) without issue. But on return, especially from MK, the ECVs go into the regular queue when it is a heavy crowd time, like when parks close. There, be ready to wait for another bus to come, as you don't get pulled out of the queue until you reach a certain spot. I mean, it makes sense, if there are two or three bus loads of people ahead of you, that you shouldn't expect to get on ahead of all of them, but some people don't think of that at the time.
