Renting DVC points at AK room requests.

Hi, I rented a one bedroom standard view (not the No request rooms) at AK Kidami building. I wanted to request a partial or obstructed view of the Savannah. I’m not sure about calling or email since I’m not the DVC owner. Should I wait until I check in? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Room requests for DVC points reservations are supposed to be submitted to Member Services by the owner of the points. This can be done via chat or email through the member website or by calling. Some owners as well as renters routinely submit requests via a well known independent WDW travel planning site and report success in getting what they want.

Just so you know, there are very few standard view villas w/ partial savanna views at Kidani. See drusba’s post #8 in this thread https://www.disboards.com/threads/akl-2br-standard-view-lockoff-vs-okw-2br.3858029/#post-63493694 for what to ask the member you rented from to request for you.
BTW, Pembe is the smallest savanna & does not have giraffes - but if you want to overlook a savanna w/ a standard view booked at Kidani that’s your best shot. The names of the elevators are in blue.
