Renting DVC Points and Where to Stay

My wife and I have been looking at renting DVC points to use for a resort at WDW. My question is: can points be used for Poly and would it even be worth it to use points to stay at Poly?

Current points for a garden view at the Poly during value season are 41-62 points per night (so equivalent to $410 - $620/night based on $10/point).

You can pay cash during value season of $365 for non-holiday nights.

The best value of DVC points is to use them at DVC resorts. While they can be used at non-DVC resorts, there is not only a premium cost in points, but there is also a $95 exchange fee.
