Renting dvc points and free dining

I'm sure it's been answered here a million times before but I'm at a loss for where to find it. BUT my question is....if I rent DVC points during a free dining time, am I eligible for it? I'd love to stay at AKL Kidani village but can only do that with free dining. Thanks in advance for your input!

No, in order to get free dining, you must pay full price for room and at least 2 tickets! However, you can have the dining plan added at cost by the DVC member you rent from!

no. not ever for renting pts.

sometimes you can pay full rack rate at kidani village to get the "free" dining if that is worth it to you...but renting pts means dealing with an individual DVC owner and not disney directly, so disney has no incentive to comp your dining.

No free dining available on DVC points reservations. You can get it at a DVC resort but only if you book the villa room as a package at rack rate as you'd normally book a resort room - NOT if you rent points.

however, renting points and paying for the dining plan can turn out to actually cost less than paying rack rate for the villa so you can get free dining.
