Renting DVC Points and Disney Dining Plan

Hey everybody,

So my GF and I were thinking about taking an “adult” 9 night trip to Disney in June or July where we spend most of our time at Disney Springs, Resorts, the pool, and Epcot (still gonna try to hit all the parks too).

We are looking at trying to book a standard room at the AKL through one of the DVC rental sites. But, with the nature of our trip we also want to do the deluxe dining plan. Is it possible to still get the Disney Dining plan when renting DVC points? Thanks!

Yes. However, you will have to pay in full for the dining plan at the time it is added. Even if you have an arrangement where the cost of the stay is not due at time of booking. You will need to either give the owner who booked the stay a credit card number, or a gift card to cover the full amount.

It must be added by the DVC owner. You cannot make any changes to the reservation, including adding Dining Plan. Dining Plan must be added either 72 or 48 hours in advance for DVC, and as a renter you'd be advised to do it well ahead of that.
