I've read a little bit about renting DVC members points to use on your own vacation. I'm not sure how this works but I might want to try it for my trip next June. I could use all the help I can get. Thanks

What is a won vacation?

You should probably read Doc's FAQ regarding renting at the following link:

FAQ on Renting Points

Good luck.

on the rental/trade site - read Doc's FAQ.

then look for what you need

you need to decide what you want- studio, 1, 2 or 3 bedroom; where you want it - OKW (cheapest), BWV, VWL, BCV or SSR (newest); when in June.

this far ahead - I would just post what you want there.

points are generally rented from $10 to $11 per point - sometimes when the member points are running out - they will let them go for less. Be sure you can use these points.

you are renting a reservations - the points won't do you any good without a confirmed reservations.

if the DVC member can't make your reservations - try someone else even if their points are a little more.

We are hoping to stay in a studio room at the BWV June 5-June 12. I am so excited I can't wait! Thanks for your help

That is already within the 11 month reservation window. You should start working on it.

Have fun and what is a won vacation ?

precious pixie...

I just rented point for the first time (nov. 04) and it was a pretty easy process. (Cannot wait for the trip -- have ressie in hand and am anxiously watching the calendar) Like others advised do your homework first and decide what type of accomodations and which resort and then send off a message in the DVC point/trade area.

Good luck!!!

I checked out your point requirements on Tagrel.com (great site). http://www.tagrel.com/dvcCompChart.shtml

Check in 6-5 Check out 6-12

126 for BCV or BWV pref. studio
256 for BCV or BWV pref. 1BR
109 for BWV std. studio
211 for BWV std. studio
101 for OKW studio
202 for OKW 1BR
115 for SSR studio
229 for SSR 1BR

I would highly recommend the 1BR if you can swing it. In any case get on it now to make sure you get the ressie.

Good luck!

I checked June 5- 12th prefered view studio is available ,7 nights 126 points. No standard are available, as of 2 pm today.
