Renting DVC from Disney

I am curious about how or when Disney gets rooms from DVC to rent at rack rates. I really want to stay in Villa's Dec 2009 - and will openly admit that renting points from a DVC member is obviously the best monetary decision but comes with huge risk that I am not sure I can stomach for 11 months...lol
So - when are rooms normally released to Disney for rental?
I would assume after the 7 mth general booking window?

Or is this just next to impossible without owning or renting from an owner?

We own a timeshare already and took the tour - but just can't justify a 2nd timeshare -

By all appearances, Disney pulls its CRO inventory right at the 11 month window.

Members from all Home resorts use their points outside of the DVC system, so it's well within Disney's rights to exercise that 11 month booking right with the points. And if they didn't do it at 11 months, members would take all of the prime resorts/rooms/dates leaving CRO with scraps that have even less chance of being sold.

So, Disney should know by January which rooms they will make available for December '09. The only other hangup may be when they choose to post that availability in their CRO inventory. I'm not familiar enough with the CRO system or Disney website to know if there are hang-ups which may keep the inventory from appearing immediately.

CRO gets rooms for cash when members exchange points for a DVC cruise, adventures by disney unsold inventory....

Unreserved DVC inventory is also made available to CRO at 60 days. Although there wouldn't be anything available for December.

I just called the rep with Grand Gatherings and she said they get villa's at 8 month mark.. Interesting
