Has anybody done this??

I'm thinking about renting a car at MCO doing some shopping before we check in then return the car at WDW. I'm not even sure if the rental car companies do this.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Yes, I do this all the time. Alamo and National are at the Disney Car Care Center (near the Magic Kingdom) and at the Dolphin Hotel. Most of the other major rental agencies have offices somewhere on Hotel Blvd. Alamo/National will take you anywhere on property after you return the car - they have shuttle busses.

We did that in Feb with National (they own Alamo) and dropped off at the Dolphin. Very easy.

From what I priced it was a much higher rental to return on site. Why not pay a few more dollars and have it the week. I am spoiled by having a car the last 4 years. There is so much more to Florida then Disney and a lot easier then waiting on buses the end of the night. Except maybe MK.

That's not always true. I've found that often it's less expensive to return the car on site. It just depends on the dates, type of car and the company's supply predictions. With ME, I now just check both options and select the one that works best for us.

I agree. As it gets closer to the rental date, the prices tend to drop quite a bit. What was once higher might be lower. You have to keep checking.
