Renting Banked Points Near End of UY

The points have to be used by the end of July if they are banked. If any of these points are from this year's Use Year, you could cancel now and still bank up to 50% of this year's points. Anything over 50% and the banked points have to be used by the end of July. You could either try to rent the GV, use the points for another trip yourself by booking a reservation or use the points to make new reservations that you are going to rent. I also think you might be able to put these points towards booking an outside timeshare reservation within the next two years but I'm a little fuzzy on how that works.

I asked about strategies for rentals awhile back, too. (I've treated people but never done an actual rental). Several folks replied that they make it a final deal. You rent the points to someone and they pay you for the reservation with the understanding it is non-refundable. You could try to reschedule for them but they should know that the options would be limited.

I think you are far enough off and hold a popular time of year ressie that you should be able to get at least your mtce fees and capital depreciation back

you can either rent the ressie or offer to check other dates etc. as well
