Renting and waitilisting

I have rented points for a one bedroom at BWV preferred for four nights Tues-Fri. The owner did waitlist me for the BCV since it is the same points but we waitlisted for the entire stay. Can I call member services with my reservation number and waitlist day by day or do I need the owner to do this?? I do not want to bother him with this..he has been nice enough to let me rent points!!

Or with only 4 nights...is it smarter to waitlist for the entire time and hope you get it and do not end up changing resorts if only a few days are available.

No - non-members cannot change the waitlist arrangements. Only the member can do it.

If you are sure you are willing to risk moving back and forth, go ahead and ask the member to change the waitlist for you.

If you post your dates - perhaps we can give you some opinions on the odds of a waitlist coming through.

Call your Owner!

You are not bothering him, he's 'working' for you!

Probably, he went with an automatic waitlist, and if he did it day-by-day, you could be at BCV night one, BWV night two, BCV night 3 etc, involving multiplt moves.

It is true a day-by-day has greater chances of comming in, but are you willing to move?

I am already moving once from a studio at SSR to BWV one bedroom. (my husband would be very unhappy if I made him move twice!!)

I am very interested in buying and thought I should try out SSR (since it seems like a better deal to purchase) and I wanted to try BCV because are children are young and I think as they get older- they will love the BCV pool.

Our dates are May 29-June 2 at BWV. They stated I could waitlist until 7 days before our trip since it is the same amount of points. 2 nights were available at BCV when we called to make the reservation.

I think I am just going to stay with the 4 night waitlist. I would hate to have to move again.

Any luck getting four days in a row??
