I would go another way. There are portable, travel wheelchairs that you can buy. They are lightweight like 15 pounds. Most of them are 19" wide. If you are flying, you are allowed to take them on a plane free. It will help you at the airport, too. It sounds like you will be gone enough time to make this worth it to buy one. You can get one for $125 to $200. Do a search on
Amazon or a medical supply company. Even your neighborhood Walgreens will have sales here and there on one. I suggest getting one where the back wheels are larger than the front wheels.
Most taxis can fit a portable, travel wheelchair in their trunk. You may have to have your luggage on a seat in the car, but it should work. Obviously this may depend on how many are in your party traveling with you. There are van taxis, too.
These wheelchairs are much easier to push, too. Your pusher will appreciate a lighter wheelchair. I never realized a difference until I was pushing one.
This is the way I would go. Then, on any future trips anywhere you will have a wheelchair available.
