I wanted to give everyone a neat tip that we discovered a few years ago. Instead of staying in a resort at Disney, we rent a house in a gated neighborhood about 15 minutes away from Disney World. This has been the best thing ever. Each house comes with a pool, jacuzzi, and you pick the number of bed and bath. We go grocery shopping and stock up the house and we're set! It's the best thing we ever did and has made our Disney experience even better.

:cheer2: I hear ya....This will be our 3rd time renting a villa in Davenport......Best thing ever, can't beat it........

I was thinking of doing this for a trip later this year. If you don't mind I would love whatever information you might have. I was also wondering if it made a huge difference with price? Thanks!

Google Florida Vacations Inc and it should come up with the website. This is the company we use. It's great. The website explains everything, prices, houses, options, booking. I believe they are on average about $150 a night but check the webite because houses vary in price. They are great houses though, you won't regret it.You have great privacy too. Just go to the website and take a look, it explains everything.

We did that a few years ago on a trip with my sisters family and my parents. 6 adults, 4 kids...5 bedrooms 4 bathrooms. It was great and ended up costing each family less than $300. I'm sure a little more now but still a great deal. We were minutes from the main gate close to Splendid China. My sister and I prepared a few casseroles at home, froze them then just re-heated in the evening. That way we didn't have to spend alot of time in the kitchen on our vacation. We had a blast and got to spend more time together than if we had been in separate motel rooms and didn't feel like we had to stick together in the parks.

We ( my family) do this also. We can rent a 4 or 5 bedroom house w/ pool, jacuzzi, game room in the garage all for $1000.00 for a 7 night stay. You just can't beat the atmosphere of going back to your own private house and pool!

We rented from Loyaltyusa.com on our first trip. Very nice home (they have many) and very friendly people. However, we have become spoiled by staying onsite and have done that every trip since. However, given what onsite prices are becoming:eek:, on our next trip we may rent a home again.
