I would like to rent a house or condo for our upcoming trip. I'm looking for reputable websites. Can anyone give me some suggestions of sites they have had good experiences with?

Some great owner sites are www.vrbo.com, www.homeaway.com, and www.vacationrentals.com. They are all very reputable and have lots of beautiful properties. VRBO is larger than the other two, but all are good.

I stayed at the Safari Condo. It was well appointed & nicely decorated. The owner & managment co. were both a pleasure to deal with!

We have used SkyAuction for four years now and have never had a problem. We just make sure we do our homework on TripAdvisor before bidding on a particular location.

This weekend we are heading down and staying at Orbit One for 2 weeks.

We are renting from them and they have been PHENOMENAL so far. Communication is quick and easy... they reply to every question and are also reachable by cell phone. If our trip goes as smoothly as the planning has been, we will use them every time!!

I love their website because you can see picks of the actual house you will be renting and all the rooms in it. They have a huge range of homes from 3 to 5 star homes and also condos and townhomes. I am going through them since they were recommended by Frommer's as well as All Ears.

I will second this as we have rented with All Star Vacation Homes twice and the experience was GREAT....couldn't have gone any better . I think they are a little more expensive than some other management companies or going directly through an owner, but it couldn't have been any easier and the office staff is WONDERFUL to work with and what you see online is EXACTLY what you get!!! If we ever have a need to rent a house again in the future, All Star Vacation Homes will be the place we'll go through as we won't even consider anyone else since we had such a great experience with them in the past . We use justfloridavacations.com we found them off of vrbo.com and the one thing that was a big factor was that We were not facing 6 others houses when we went out to the pool, we got a house with a nature preserve behind it and plenty of greenery on both side yards that we never saw the people next door when we went outside. We love renting the house
