My Mom needs to rent a car for nine days while she is in Tampa. I have no idea where to start to get the best rates. I'm sure there must be some sort of codes or something and you wise transportation will be able to help:wave2:

We only looked on Southwest and the cheapest rate looked to be about $250 for a midsized for nine days with all taxes and fees included. Is that ok?

Hello,

It happens that I am in the same situation that you are in. Here in Chicago I will be renting an SUV from Budget for 10 days, which I will use to go to Disney in July with my family. I received a rate of $300 for the entire 10 days without any codes. I am not sure when you are going, but currently they have many on-line specials. The same car I am renting is going for $165 per week. It is a huge difference. Also, I should add that this is my first time renting, so I am not too sure what is good.

Most car rental companies allow up to 48 hours cancellation free of charge. I am just going to wait to see if rates drop or if I get a significant code to use. Depending on how much time you have to search, you may want to check out company websites directly. There are also many other websites, such as expedia, with cheap rates. I am positive that this will take some time to research. I've been doing searching for the last two weeks. I hope you find what you are looking for.
