Hi Everybody!
I´m hoping someone here can help me with this troubling problem. Me and my boyfriend is going to Orlando next year and we need to rent a car the first week so we can check out the Orlando area.
The problem is that if we rent a car here from Sweden from companys like Hertz and Holiday Autos they law is that you need have had a license for one year to rent. My boyfriend will only have had it for about 6 months.
So renting it from Sweden is a no go. I checked Hertz and other american car renting websites to see if they also have this rule, but can´t find anything about it.
So the question is, if we arrive at the Orlando airport can we rent a car with my boyfriends swedish license (and passport of course), even thought he has only had it 6 months? Is this a law from Sweden or the US?
Also, do you know if there is a difference in the law between Orlando and L.A.? Because we are going there after Orlando and really, really need a car there.
Thanks so much to anybody who can answer this!
