So i have only used National Emerald Aisle at MCO and am very unfamiliar with car rentals at LAX. All car rental companies require shuttles to get to them right? Is the Emerald Aisle at LAX similar to the one at MCO? What kind of cars have been on it recently?

All require shuttles, and make sure to have the street address of the car rental location for your return via GPS. Once I just sort of winged it, and drove to the airport, and realized I had no real idea how to find the actual car rental location. I have not used National there, I have an Alamo rental in 2 weeks. Last night, rates dropped way down on the Costco site.

Unless you absolutely need a car I would take a shuttle or town car to the resort. If you still want/need a car you could always rent one from the Downtown disney area. Just my 2 cents.

All rental companies at LAX use a shuttle to an off-site, that range from 1 mile to a couple miles from the terminal, doesn't take very long to get there, less than 10 minutes I'd say. Once there, the pick-up process is the exact same, skip the counter, go directly to the Emerald Aisle/Executive Aisle (based on your membership level) and select any car from the aisle, keys will be in the door, and drive to the check out booth.

As far as cars go, I've heard they've had all sorts recently depending on the aisle. The Emerald Aisle usually has mid-size and full-size cars like Imapals and Chrysler 200s. You can luck out and get some nicer cars on there too sometimes, Challengers, etc. The Executive Aisle has some nicer cars usually, Chrysler 300s, BMWs, Challengers, Chargers, Mustangs, Camero's, large SUVs, etc.

The Downtown Disney Alamo rental place is great! I book through Costco when we need our car.
