We have plans for our family to stay in the cabins in April 2015. The kids will pay for 1 cabin and we will pay for the other. Got a brainstorm last night and thought that if we brought our pop up down we could bring our dog and then for the cost of the trailer vs the cabin rates we could then vacation after the trip and take side trips on the way back to Michgan. So then we have a vehicle there and would not have to rent a van, so that would be another cost we wouldn't have. The kids will still rent a cabin. The best and worse thing is that we would not have to leave our dog (she is 5 and we have never left her). But we would have to take her to the kennel there everyday so we can go on our way with the family. Wondering if that is a real pain. So what are your opinions on this plan? Any other ways we would save if we brought the pop up down? Oh yeah, 2 plane tickets!
