RENTERS have you been able to call to confirm lately

I have heard that people have been able to call and confirm direct with the hotel a few days before the reservation as it has been uploaded into the system. Has anyone been able to do this latelty as I have seen conflicting opinions on this. Thanks. 10 days and counting till my 2 week marathon outing:cool1:
 
You will always hear conflicting reports on this topic. It depends upon where the call is sent upon receipt.

When you call the resort telephone number, the call goes to a virtual front desk call center. If you inquiry is related to a future reservation, most agents will transfer the call to CRO, which is Disney's cash booking unit. CRO will have no record of a DVC points reservation.

Occasionally you'll be able to get an agent that will actually forward the call to someone at the resort. A staff member at the resort should be able to confirm the booking. The real question is what buzzwords you need to use in order to get the call transferred to the resort rather than CRO.
