:cool1: In planning our vacation in October I couldn't decide what we would like, so I am renting at both the VWL & BCV three days apiece .I just need help on what would be a decent room as far as location etc. The family ( DH :surfweb: DW popcorn:: ,dd 9  &11 :cheer2: and DS 2 pirate: will be in a studio. With the dining plan the stove would be in the way :lmao: so says the Wife. Any insight about room location pros or cons about each resort would be extremely helpful. I cant wait to purchase .

VWL rooms are all in one long building, and the views are almost all of woods, even those claiming to have lake views (you see glimpses of it through the woods). My only advice would be to request a room not close to the dumpster area (which sits within view of just a handful of rooms located at the far end of the VWL building). Beyond that, you will enjoy your location, I feel quite sure.

With five, you will be crowded in a studio. Even with your youngest under the age of three.

No stove in a studio, just a microwave.

Check out the one and two bedrooms over at the sales center at SSR.

BCV is really pretty similar to VWL, only slightly bigger. We like the pool/water view looking out towards the Dunes Cove pool. Other views would be garden - towards BC or towards EPCOT (with the roadway running by the villas).

There are two elevator banks with one closer to the self parking area.

Does your wife know that in giving up the stove (which can just be a kitchen ornament and is for some DVCers) she is also giving up a jacuzzi, washer/dryer, larger table, extra TV and bathroom sink, seperate shower, and privacy as well as much more space?

The studios are very nice but not much different from a regular hotel room. I think to get a good handle on DVC, there is nothing like staying in a 1 or 2 BR. :thumbsup2

And the king sized bed.

Just for this trip she doesnt mind because we are going to buy a interest the points we buy will be enough for a two bedroom .She likes camping I would rather be on a beach so this is a compromise. She likes the family together the studio forces everyone to talk about the day instead of being in different parts of the house like at home. No biggie on the Jacuzzi have at home she just doesn want to cook anything on vacation I cant say that I blame her because there is no way I'm cooking :lmao: .....thanks for your input cant wait to become owners :yay:

Both resorts are very small, with a relatively small number of studios. So you probably won't have a lot of choice in your room selection. A total of 65 possible studios at VWL and 110 studios at BCV. Which means if they clear equally each day of the week, less than 10 will even be turning over at VWL when you check in and 15 at BCV. Then, they "tell us" that they will offer you ready rooms first, so if you check in and only two of those ten rooms are clean, those are the only two that will be available to check into. DVC operates at pretty close to full occupancy, so there aren't a lot of empty rooms sitting around.

In other words, don't get your hopes up that the perfect room will be available. There may only be one studio available at all when you check in.

did you already rent these rooms for OCT? If not you might have to waitlist since this is the time of the F&WF and BCV will be tough to get.

good luck

Also AT VWL room 4533 has no balcony if you need one. :goodvibes
