My baby DS drinks a LOT of milk and so does DH. Does a plug in cooler keep a gallon of milk cold enough to both be safe and palatable? I'm just wondering if we should request the fridge in our room instead. Pricewise, that might even come out a little cheaper since we would only use the cooler when we went to WDW (even though we do go quite a bit). Also, will the cooler keep things like lunch meat, condiments and other things cold as well?

The one we got from Walmart kept our milk nice and cold. The only problems with their cooler is if you are in a VERY hot environment. Then it can not keep the temperature low enough if the outside temperature is very high (like when camping, don't leave it in direct sunlight).

In an air conditioned room, there is no problem. We have used ours a lot. It has been very nice to have with us on our trips.

The one we have keeps things cool but not super cold. If the things you put in are cold to begin with it does much better. Maybe different brands do better, I would check that out.
