For those who have used the rental strollers, how do you personalize them to make them easier to spot and less likely to be taken by someone.

My sister brings colorfull ribbons to put on the stroller. But sometimes it's still difficult to spy your's in the sea of strollers. Maybe a balloon or lot's a ribbon will be better.

I put a bright colored shoestring on mine. I was very glad I did, I always spotted it immediately.

What are the benefits of using a stroller to using your own personal strollers?

It may be obvious to you guys but I just thought I would ask.

Cheers

You don't have to lug it on and off Disney transportation. They are very large and can fit larger children very easily.

That's all I can think of at the moment!

That is the reason we are going to use one. Our dd is 5 1/2 and probably would be too big for a regular umbrella stroller but I know she wouldnt be able to do all the walking so we will rent one. From the pictures I have seen, they should be fine.

$8.00 per day but I think I read somewhere that you can get a 3 day rental for a couple dollars cheaper. $8.00 a day will be more than worth it for us.

We find the park strollers very comfortable for our 2 DS (age 3 & 5). They need a break from all the walking and it's a nice place for them to take their snacks or watch the parades from. It is worth every penny for us. No stroller to carry on or off the buses and a place to store your backpack.

As far as personalizing it for easier identification, we alway bring a small (4X4foot) lightweight blanket the is very colorfull. We use this for the boys to sit on, cover up with if needed, and to shade them from the sun if they happen to take a nap at the parks. When we need to park the stroller we drape the blanket over the top of the stroller. We've never had a problem finding it and if for some reason it does get taken it's not irreplacable. The only time we have to carry it is too and from the resort and it is small enough to shove in the backpack if needed.

Just wanted to second that the key advantage of the Disney strollers is that they can accomodate larger kids. I don't think there's a stroller on the market that my youngest two (7 and 5) would fit in.....they are both in the 95th percentile for height, but they can fit in a double stroller at Disney. Of course, at their ages it's been years since we've brought a stroller anywhere.....we don't do it at our local amusement park, but it's definitely worth renting at Disney.....multiple full days in the parks is an awful lot of walking for a kid, so the stroller really helps. Only rule I had to make was anybody who whines/argues/complains gets out and walks.....that quieted things down! :cool1:
