For those who rented strollers while in WDW, did anyone regret it and wish they had brought their own ?? DS will be 2yr 8 mo when we go next trip, and we are leaning towards renting rather then having to lug our stroller onto buses/boats etc.
We rented for our 4 almost 5 year old and there were no regrets at all....except for the time someone swiped it at Epcot. It was so much easier to pay for one than to have to lug it on the bus back to the hotel, etc. He was big enough to walk to the bus stop, wait and ride on the bus---but needed a little rest from walking in the parks.
Plus we didn't have to bring it with us on the plane and limo either. I vote for rental!
We've rented many times before. I think the fee is too high and they get LOST in the sea of strollers in the stroller parking areas (I guess you could tie a ribbon or some other way "mark" it more visible ) BUT! I didnt want to take my really nice , expensive stroller from home and risk it being damaged by the baggage packers at the airplane (I once brought an expensive one and the rear axle was bent probably from being thrown or stuffed into the plane rendering it useless!) SOOO ...
now we purchase a cheap one from a yard sale and take it instead! I require it to be in near perfect shape and have a big basket underneath for our magical purchases and a good safe seat belt for our little escape artists and must recline for napping (dont have to go back to the hotel for naps!) and fold easily for the busses etc. and a snack tray for DD to eat her little overpriced disney treats and it must have at least one good CUP HOLDER for mama's diet pepsi (oops, diet coke at WDW! yuck). Plus rentals tended to tip over whenever we'd take our toddlings out (thus SPILLING mamas precious beverage and nerd daddy's camera accoutramant) Hope I have helped a little!
