can I rent points from a dvc owner and use them at the campground for a cabin or can they make the reservation at the campground for a cabin if they are an owner?????

DVC owners may make reservations using points at the Fort Wilderness Cabins - but not for the campground sites. Depending on the season, point costs will range from 14-20 points per night on weekdays and 45-67 per night for Friday/Saturday. In most cases, you may be able to get a reservation directly thru Disney for less.

Just be sure to do the math for the dates you actually want before agreeing to rent thru a member.

The most economical use of DVC points will be at DVC resorts in most cases.
