Rental Homes

I also agree with renting direct from the owners. I rented a house from a fellow DISer in May and it was beautiful. Working with the owner was a dream! In fact, it added to the experience. Good luck with your search!

How does one know who these fellow Diser's are who are homeowners renting out their properties? I was searching online last night and am amazed and what you get for such a fair price. 3bed/3baths with a pool for $750-$900 per week. For my family of 6 thats a bargain Disney cant touch :woohoo:

ETA: We rent a beach cottage every June in Emerlad Isle, NC for upwards of 2500- for the week. I never dreamed of doing the same thing at Disney and what a bargain, really! Thanks for this thread!

It is a great market for renters, no question. This is why we keep coming back to Orlando. We can't touch anything half as nice for the price anywhere else.

The estates are made up of pool homes in a subdivision. There is no community facilities.
The resorts are usually made up of condos, townhouses, and pool homes. There is a community clubhouse and pool with maybe playgrounds, tennis, games room etc., things you'd associate with any resort.

Some estates do have community features only not to such a great extent as resort type ones.My community for example has tennis and basketball courts,a children's play area a community pool with changing cabana and a large open space for people to run and walk around .

I agree some communities have great features. Our community (Westridge Manors) is in a gated community and has a clubhouse with a community pool, fitness center, free wi-fi.

need to have their own boards so us fellow Diser's can relate/identify and possibly rent properties from our fellow Dis relatives.

:)

good idea. I haven't gone yet but am sure I will do it again. I definately will be staying in the park again tho also.

Our review board, "upstairs", has quite a few properties to have a look at.

Good luck with your search!

Thank you!

so lets start one cause then I wouldn't have to search and search for one next time, lol

Our cyber-friend Roy lives in England, and has a house he rents over off of Hwy 24, close to the intersection of 24 and 192.

We had the pleasure of staying there two summers ago. It was a lovely house, very safe area, quick drive to Disney, and near a lot of stores, and a Wal Mart!

We'd stay there again any time.
