we are staying at a disney resort, but we would like to go to maybe seaworld or universial on day, is there anywhere i can rent a car for the day, if so where and can i take the disney bus to it so i can rent it?

Yes.

Alamo Rental (on Disney property) will pick you up at your resort to go rent the car and take you back there after you return it.

Also check out L & M Car rental and E-Z car rental. Both are at the airport
and have other area locations. Usually the cheapest around, and perhaps they'll pick you up. I've head great luck with them in the past.

A few years ago my DM wanted to rent a car for a few days so she and my DSis could take a side trip. I had my other DSis book it online for us and she got a better rate online than we got over the phone. Worked out great!

I just booked Dollar rent a car out of the Regal Sun Resort on Hotel Plaza Blvd right by Saratoga Springs and Disney Marketplace and got a rate of $49 per day for a mini van using my Bj's corporate code - 'BJ3013'...feel free to use it. It was $35 cheaper than anywhere else I looked..and I was searching orignially on a mid size car.

You can always take a bus to the marketplace and yuo can then walk right across the street.

Not sure where you are staying..but thought this was worth a shot. Good luck.

Find a price you can live with now and book it because there is no need to pay now and it's easily cancelled. Be prepared to find reallllly good deals 10 days or less before your trip. I had a mid-size booked thru Dollar also at Regal Resorts for $19 per day but yesterday I was able to find $14 midsize thru Alamo because my trip is a week away.

Wow that is cheap alright!!! Did you use any special coupon code? Also..I noticed you had the disney dining plan free. Was there anything special you had to do to get it for free? I know they sometimes offer the free plan..but usually not till Aug. thanks in advance!

We were lucky enough to get a pin code via email. Our boys are all Disney "adults" so our free DDP is $200 per day for 5 of us. Yes, we are very lucky.

Don't give up on the rentals. I'm sure there'll be a cheaper code. The last minute codes can be awesome. Remember to check slickdeals . net for bargains as well. I found a code thru People magazine for Alamo thru 6/19 - you never know where they might turn up. For my dates the Dollar thru Regal Sun was $199 wk for minivans using OOAG which is the Orlando Fun card code (available to anyone). Just remember to check about 2 wks out.

I rent from the Care Care center and have very good luck with both National and alamo. they will pick you up at your resort and shuttle you to the CCC and when you want to return, you drop off the car and they shuttle you back to wherever you want on property. The closer you get to your trip, the cheaper the rates will get. If you are a member of Costco, you can get great discounts from them (Look at the travel section on their website). I got a good deal through Alamo at the CCC returning at the airport. Best deal so far for August. the entertainment Books also have coupons and if you join National Car rental emerald club, you can get a discount off your first rental and you can stack codes with them.
