I am so excited! When I went to book our airfare for our cruise this summer, I noticed that if we flew down on Friday our airfare would be about $500 more than if we flew down on the Tuesday before. So I figured that we could just add 4 days to our vacation for the same cost.
This first portion of the trip will be just me and my 2 girls. I think we are going to have a blast. Found a great rate on here at the Sheraton Vistana Resort for $99 per night! I need to keep the costs as low as possible for this part of the vacation since the cruise + excursions will be $$$.
So my plan is to take full advantage of this resort to save money. We won't be visiting any parks, but will probably go to the Boardwalk area. Are there any other low cost / free things to do in Orlando that would interest two tween girls?
My main reason for posting though is to find out what the best strategy is for transportation to Cape Canaveral. We will probably rent a car, but I am finding that it is more expensive to rent and return to a different location. I am wondering if it would be better to just return to MCO the morning of our cruise and then hire a car service to take us to the port? Where is a good place to find out how much it is to hire car service?
