Rental cars and love bugs?

I just realized that when I'm at WDW next week it will be love bug season. I know they say the love bugs can damage the paint on cars. If you are using a rental car, do you need to wash it every day during love bug season, once a week, or not at all if it's a rental car? Would the rental car company charge for paint damage if it was caused by love bugs?

Residue from any bug can harm the paint of a car, I wouldn't be concerned at all with lovebugs in particular and especially not for a week trip.
