Rental Car Woes

I am having a hard time coming up with a good deal for renting a car.

I am going to be in Disney from July 7th - the 14th (8 days) and the best price I can come up with is $207 with Dollar for an economy car using the KISS3 code.

Is this the best I am going to do? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

That's actually not a bad price for an eight day rental during the busy summer season.

I am still not coming up with anything better than what i have, but I do feel better knowing that , that is an acceptable price!
I hate thinking I haven't gotten a good deal! 8 days and counting!

I think the last minut special sometimes give better deal. If you really want lower rate, you may want to keep on checking

I had initially reserved from National, but a week ago I found out a better deal from hertz and have switched to hertz. I also posted the last minute special here.

I reserved a minivan from hertz for $201 from 07/01/04 to 07/09/04 for 8 days. It is last minute + AAA discount + AAA coupons. Note that the weekly rate not including AAA discount for Economy is $96.99 which probably will lower your 8 day rental. It states the rates are valid when booked by noon June 28.

However, when I plug in your date range or even mine, I am not able to get back the same quote both for the minivan or the economy. Not sure whether they have all rented out.

I just plugged your dates into Hotwire and came up with 191.19 for either an economy, compact or midsized car, including taxes and fees. I've been happy with their service in the past. I got Hertz both times I've used them at MCO.
I've never seen them come back with the same rate for all three car types, but you might want to check it out.

Why not give Priceline a try? They deal with all onsite MCO agencies except Hertz, which has a painless shuttle bus. We use Priceline something like twice a month, and the only time we couldn't beat the best rate we'd found on our own was at Christmas.
