Rental Car Recommendations?

We are coming to Disney for two weeks in June and looking at a getting some feedback on getting a rental car (who to go with and your experiences). This is our first time flying to Disney as we normally would drive the 18 hours from Dallas to get there. There are four of us and didn't know if there was a thread for "Car Rental Strategies" at the Orlando Airport. If someone can direct me there that would be great.

We are planning on going to a few other places besides Disney during our two week stay hence the reason why we would not do the "Magical Express".

We have always used National because National and Enterprise is what we use at home. Check out the transportation board for codes to use.

We had a great experience with National. I signed up for their loyalty program, watched the rates, and reserved the option where I could pick any car from a specified area. Didn't have to stop or even talk to anyone.

Another vote for National. Used them for first time about two years ago. Also signed up for loyalty program.

There is a Transportation board (keep scrolling on the main page) that talks a lot about Car Rentals.

In Orlando, I've used Avis and Thrifty and Budget I think. Frankly, I find renting a car annoying pretty much all the time, but no experience has been worse than any other.

I can often find discounts going through Costco or Southwest (with my SW card). AAA can get you discounted rates and I've used Priceline in the past as well.

Not sure if you are a Costco member or not? But we shopped all around and by far we got the best price through Costco's travel section. We also purchased our Legoland tickets through Costco as well... Hope that helps!!!!

I go through our Costco membership (usually 10% off normal rates). I use Enterprise for business, so it's typically who I tend to use on vacation too. But they're all pretty interchangeable.
