Rental Car or Golf Cart at Ft Wilderness

We are a family of 5 staying at the cabins in a week. I already rented a golf cart for the week and am wondering if I should rent a car for 1 day to go to Winn Dixie and Walmart for all the shopping and then return the rental car at the end of the day. Would you get a cab to go for the groceries or rent a car?Or would you skip the golf cart and rent a car for the week? Any input or experience would help, we usually stay at the beach club and this is our first trip to fw cabins. Thanks!

I am assuming that you are flying. In the past, we have rented a limo to pick us up from the airport and they would stop at a grocery store on the way to the park. I think there was a 30 min time limit. That may be cheaper or easier than renting a car for a day. There are also some grocery delivery services that you could use. We have used a couple of them and have been pleased however I still prefer the limo route.

I definitely would keep the golf cart for entire length of the trip. It is great for getting around the campgrounds and super fun to go looping in the evening.
