Rental car offices on-site?

Hi!
Before we arrive at HRH, we will be staying offsite near Disney and using a rental car we picked up at the airport. Once we arrive at Universal, we won't need a car (other than getting back to the airport) and don't want to pay the daily parking fee on top of the car rental fee.
Anyone know if there are any car rental offices at any of the Universal hotels or within easy walking distance? If so, which rental companies?

Although now that I am thinking this through, I'm not sure how much it will save returning the car two days early but then having to pay to take 5 people and luggage to the airport...

Thanks for any help!
Jill

Since you are staying off site for Disney, you midas well keep the rental car for the entire stay. That way you can get back to the airport. You'll leave Universal property to visit restaurants, and stock a cooler at Publix.

The convience factor makes up for the rental fee, gas, and parking at the hotel.

Psssst. If you want to save the parking fee at Disney, visit the All Star Resorts (Music, Movie, Sports) and take the bus over to the parks. They have a guard gate, they'll ask to see your license, but then they'll wave you thru when you say the name of the hotel you are visiting. I usually eat at their food courts anyway. Park in front of the hotel and the bus never checks hotel keys.

Hertz is onsite at the Universal Hotels, but we rented a Budget Rental Car for our Disney portion of the stay, then returned it to the Holiday Inn Universal when we got to Royal Pacific. At the end of our stay, I walked over to pick up the rental car again for the trip to the airport.

The Holiday Inn is easily within walking distance of any of the Universal resorts. There's a Doubletree next to the Holiday Inn, and I also believe it had some sort of car rental as well.

That's what we are planning. We are staying at HRH. About how long of a walk is it to Budget?
