Rental car in WDW

A friend is going to the world in June. He asked about Mears to take him to Universal. I just told him to rent a car for a day. But I have no idea where to tell him to go lol. Please help

I have almost always found the best rate at Budget using the coupon code on this page. When I do rent a car though I get it at the airport and for the whole trip, not just for one day. I think the best option would be to go with Kathy's suggestion (or Mike's ) though in your friend's situation.

So am I reading that right that it's only an additional $2.99 to add the transportation onto a 1 day/2 park ticket? That's quite a deal (although I don't quite understand the part that says the transportation is available 24 hours a day except between 10am and 3pm. That's a pretty large chunk of the day missing, to say it's available 24 hours...)
