rental car in Connecticut

We are driving down to Disney at the end of July and would really like to not drive our own car so are trying to get a minivan. I am having no luck getting anything cheaper than $800 as a base rate (Way to expensive it would be cheaper to fly) Anybody have any luck doing this or rate codes that work up here?

Try hotwire or priceline from your nearest airport. Many places will charge you mileage on a mini-van rental which will greatly increase your cost.

We had the same problem back in May. I ended up renting from Newark airport with National's Emerald Aisle. We ended up getting a Chevy Venture for $225 for 8 days(including 1/2 tank of gas)

It was a real pain since Newark in a 1-2 hour drive. We picked up on a Sat, brought it home and packed it, left on Sunday, came home on a Sat unpacked it and brought it back on Sunday. It was a pain but it saved HUNDREDS!!!
