Do you prepay gas on car rental

Never!
The price they quote you does not include tax etc. so it actually sounds much lower than it really is. We just go to the Circle K on Boggy Creek, although I'm not sure if they have reopened since Charley yet.

It depends on whether I am going to do enough driving to bring it back on fumes. If you leave any gas in the tank you are benefiting the rental agency. If I can do enough driving that it is empty then I will prepay. If not I will fill up before I return the car.

This is one of the great ripoffs of all time IMHO!

If the car holds 18 gallons they charge you for 18 gallons. When was the last time you got the car to fumes?

Driving around Orlando I have rarely used more then half a tank. Plus do you really want to return the car on fumes. (I have done it on business trips, but it makes me nervous!)

I agree with CarolA 100%...prepay is a total scam. Fill up on one of the exits on 417 heading to the airport.

I never pre-pay for the gas and am another Circle K gasser upper. (Though this past trip (8/11 - 8/24) I gassed up at Hess across from DD as I was not sure Circle K had power.::MickeyMo

anyone who prepays gas has...........money to burn!!! I mean waste.

I've never used more than half a tank on a Disney trip. I fillup before leaving Disney property, it's always still on full at the airport, I've never been charged by National. On business trips, I let them refill it, our company contract with Avis includes a flat rate per mile, it's pretty reasonable.

I'll occasionally pre-pay, if I think I'm likely to use a full tank on the trip. For WDW vacations, this is almost a guarantee with all the driving around I do. (My drive to church in Longwood & back on Sunday is about 60 miles all by itself.)

While it's possible that I may spend a couple extra dollars leaving two or three gallons in the tank, I have the convenience of not having to think about it. The peace of mind and the little bit less stress is worth a few bucks in a $1000 vacation.

Where is the Circle K? I've always had a hard time finding a gas station near the airport - usually end up having to go north of the airport to a 7-11 or something... This one definitely sounds closer!
