Rental car from BLT

We are planning to drive to Vero Beach after our stay at BLT. What's the best way to get a rental car? It's much cheaper to pick up at MCO, but can we take DME just to get a car? We will be dropping it back off there when we fly home.

You are entitled to one round trip between the resort and MCO while you are staying at a Disney owned resort so you can arrange to take DME to the airport to pick up the rental car.

There are a lot of extra taxes and fees when you rent from the airport. Make sure you take those into account.

I would rent from the Car Care Center instead....they will send a shuttle to pick you up at BLT. The taxes and fees will be cheaper.

I've actually priced both, and it's $85 cheaper to rent from MCO.

We rented from either the Swan or Dolphin (can't remember which one) while at BLT to go to Gatorland for the day. DH walked over to the buses at MK and took the bus to the hotel.
