We are looking into planning a last minute trip for the end of July, staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek, so we'll need a rental car. Mini vans and large suvs are either sold out or incredibly expensive. Is a full or premium car an option for 6 passengers? I can't tell if this category can sit 3 in the front seat. Would 2 smaller cars be our best option? Thanks for any suggestions/help!

We too will be at WBC the end of July. I rented a minivan from MCO using my Bj's discount from budget for $295+tax for a week. We are doing a one way and leaving it at WDW and taking ME back to MCO after spending our last night at AoA

IME, most Premium sedans can seat six. The catch is that not all premium cars are sedans these days, quite a few are big 5-seat SUV's.

Two compact cars would give you quite a bit of flexibility with a large party especially if there is more than one nuclear family involved. Subcompacts often are not covered by coupon codes, so you have that issue when trying to go as low as possible.

If you want to go with two cars, what I would do is (luggage considerations notwithstanding) Priceline two compacts or a subcompact and a compact at MCO. (If you do this, be sure not to make both reservations in the same name, in case you end up at two separate companies, because the same person cannot be the primary driver of two different cars.)

BTW, Pricelining vans seldom works, as the demand for them is too high.

Not since the discontinuation of the Ford Crown Victoria has 6 passengers in a premium car been common. A premium class booking does not guarantee a SUV, so I would never book with that intention.

I rent pretty often and honestly, it's been years since I've seen a sedan that seats six at one of the major rental agencies.
