Rental Car dropoff/pickup times

We're going to Orlando for 7 nights Sun to Sun. We arrive at 2:30pm and depart at 9:30 the following week. When I was fooling around with rental car prices, I was getting $40 a day for economy, but when I changed my p/u time to 7am and my departure to 8/am the price droped to $15 a day. Is there a trick to this? Will the company charge me if I pick the car up late? What if I claim my flight was changed or something?

Most of the time for a Sunday pickup the witching hour is noon. After that it switches to daily rates on a short-term rental.

However, since you are keeping it more than 5 days with a Saturday night keep, you should be qualifying for a base weekly rate. Keep checking with coupon codes.
