Rental Car Deal? Please help

I just reserved a minivan through L&M Rental. I am going 12/3-12/8. Rate of 225.00 with all taxes, charges, etc. How is that rate? Has anyone used L&M? I know they are in the MCO terminal and that we have to do our return at the counter. Anyone getting a better deal? I joined Emerald Club and used my DC number, but the cost still came up higher. Also, L&M can reserve an 8 passenger minivan for me, which is what I need.

Sounds like a pretty good rate to me. Have never used them though. National always seems high on minivans.

the counter stop for our L and M rental took all of 5 minutes....at the most.....its really a non event

How did you find out about L&M? Is there a web site or do I have to call them? Is there really no shuttle involved, i.e. they are right at the terminal, just like Dollar and Avis (travel w/3 kids, 2 car seats, 2 strollers- BIL WILL NOT consider rental company w/shuttle bus!)? Best deal I have found so far for a minivan, 11/30-12/7/01, is $209 PLUS taxes, etc. L&M sounds too good to be true, which is what is making me nervous! Are they and their vehicles reliable?

I found it on Mousesavers.com. It tells you that the desk is right in the terminal, level one. I called in my reservation using 1-407-352-3131 and the rep confirmed this. Mousesavers links you to it through travelocity.com. I needed a van for 8 passengers, not 7, so by phoning the rep put that in as a request for me. I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Anyone going after the first of the year might as well wait a while. I just called, and their rates are not yet set. However, they offered to "match" the airport rates, and gave me 40.95/day for a full size. Forget it! I can do Dollar for around 32/day! Gee, and I was so excited, too.
