Hi We are thinking about renting a car for our trip in Sept. I got what I think is a good rate of $ 136.94 for the 6 days from National EA using DC & coupon. From what I understand National charges 6 dollars per day for car seats I would need 1 car seat and 1 booster (4&2yo's) That does not make it a good price it adds 72.00 Does any rental car company let you use them free of cahrge or am I beeing silly? Maybe we should just stay with the tiffany towne car they will have the seats for me. Any information would be great!
We are staying on site so the car would have been just in case we wanted to go off site to eat or somthing.

I don't think any car company has free car seats.

When we went in December we used National and we brought our own booster seat and car seat. We checked the booster with our luggage (or you can check it at the gate too) and we used the car seat on the plane for our 14 month old.

The convenience of having our own car was wonderful!

Good luck whatever you decide.

I had a coupon for a free car seat on Avis. We requested a booster for my DD. When we arrived, they gave us one of the outdated (and incredibly unsafe) shield types that you use when your car doesn't have a shoulder belt. We asked if they had a different type and they didn't. Since then I've learned not to trust car seats unless you call and find out what kind they have. There are so many unsafe and recalled seats out there; also your child may not fit in someone else's car seat. I would be really careful.
