Okay, we've booked 7 nights and 8 days at CSR in September. Haven't found any codes yet but since we're hitting in value season and the crowds will be low, I'm willing to pay the price. Also excited about the transportation to and from the airport...not having to rent a car for a week or pay Mears. Now the DH has decided that he WANTS to do the rental car thing so we can go to the grocery store and stock up on snacks, drinks...the lot. (keep in mind, I've bought the dining package so we will need only 1 meal per day and I can't eat too much sugar or any carbonated drinks so the DH and DD pretty much get my snacks that come with the dining package). I told him I had read somewhere that there was a shopping center right across the street from DTD and we could just walk over, get the few things we wanted and take it back to the room. He responds with a "I've read its more expensive there than Publix".
I'm trying to explain to him that the cost of a rental car for a week is going to cost more than the slightly inflated prices at the grocery store. Please someone help. Could we get Enterprise to deliver a car to us for perhaps a day or two to qwell his "need" for the car
What about the grocery delivery I keep reading about...how does this work? We're flying from Richmond, VA so packing a lot of snacks and water/drinks isn't a practicle option. He has also decided that driving to the park entrances everyday would be better than the bus. Again, we're going in Sept so I don't anticipate the drives on the bus or the lines to be insurmountable. I just don't want to pop down another $200 for a car that sits in the parking lot for 5 out of the 7 days we're there. Am I being unreasonable or is he just being a man? (albeit a wonderful loving man)

Thanks guys...I'vw looked both up online and they look like a reasonable answer. As soon as the DH awakes from his afternoon nap, Ill tell him about it. I'm being stubborn but I just don't want the rental car
They deliver as ordered, and on time.
you may need to add a stop at the liquor store - I think it is only $5.00 extra for an extra stop. Well worth it. I am not sure what beverages they would carry at the grocery store.
