Rent up to 24 pts a year from dvc?

when I called ms one time they mentioned this. As meaning that you can rent up to 24 pts a year at $15 a pt. Has anybody ever done this because they were 10 pts short or something? It sounds like something I may do next year if I'm understanding it correctly.

We do this regularly to help stretch out our 160 pts. The catch is the earliest you can purchase the pts is at the 7 month window. You need to call MS to purchase the pts and make your booking. It's a very nice option.

We have done it. Usually when we have less than 10 points leftover after making our reservation and we realize the points will expire. So we end up adding another night to the vacation at the 7 month mark use the leftover points plus buying some OTU points.

Yes I've done it when I was a few points short for the stay I wanted to book at the 7-month window. You can purchase up to 24 points, once per Use Year.

We've used it to get a 1BD Lake View at BLT when standard was sold out and we didn't have enough points otherwise. Best decision we could've made. It was so easy!

I used it to add a day to our upcoming trip in January. Great way to stretch your points and your trip.

I did it this morning. I needed 23 points for our last night. I had it reserved and then released it when MS answered. First time using this option; easy peasy.
