Southern California Rent car from lax or

If you feel comfortable driving on our freeways, I would rent a car.You will have more freedom with a car.

Back in 2000 I drove from buffalo ny to Kansas, and the day I got to Kansas my dad said you want to go to CA with us, I said sure but I'm not driving. He said that's fine, he drove all way there, we got hotel and he handed me the keys and said you drive, I'm not driving in that again, I drove the entire week through LA and San Diego.

I would rent a car from LAX. If you took the bus and then picked the car, that could be time better spent sightseeing.

Depending on the time that you're flying into LAX, you might have a gap between arrival and hotel check in. If you have the rental car from LAX, you have the option of stopping off somewhere else before getting to Anaheim....or even detouring up a little way north to LA before heading south to Anaheim.

From dtd and use bus from lax to Disney and back

I found the rental rates at DTD for a daily rental and other rental agencies around Anaheim to be a bit high compared to renting out of the airport for the week.

Plus you have to add in the cost of your r/t shuttle to and from the airport onto the cost of renting for a day or two from DTD or another local agency in Anaheim for your sightseeing.

It just seemed easier to rent the car for the week from the airport and do some sightseeing on our own around LA since our flight was getting in early and during the week taking a few side trips while we weren't at DL or DCA.

According to the Disney website it's $15/night to park at the hotels.
