Hello. We are staying in a 2 bedroom at the BCV, For past trips I've rented a crib, but this time around my DD (3-1/2 years old) is now sleeping in a toddler bed at home. She's quite the wiggly sleeper too. I'm looking for advice, will the pull out sofa work good enough or should we rent a toddler bed? Thanks for any advice.

Ah, bed rails work on a pull out sofa! That's what we will go with. Thank you so much for the information!:)

had a grandson who kicked the bed rails out because they reminded him of crib rails. he refused to sleep with them. his toddler bed rails were very short and the bed rails covered too much for him. he could not get out past them by himself. he was just under 3 if I remember right

I would think by 3.5 she should be fine sleeping on the sofa sleeper.

This mine were in regular beds by then , and seriously if she rolled out she is 3.5 I"m sure she falls further than that playing. It isn't the top bunk.

This. Both of my kids were in twins by 2.5. Renting a toddler bed is over kill and I think bed rails are, too.

When we were in a DVC unit when DD was 3.25 she slept in the sofa bed just fine.

When our DD was about that age we stayed at AKl with a sofa sleeper, I ended up just making her bed on the sofa and putting extra pillows on the floor around her to cushion her fall if she rolled out. She ended up doing fine, she was in her toddler bed at home which wasn't much wider than the couch so I really wasn't worried about her falling out too much.

We did the same thing at the AKL. The arms of the sofa sort of naturally acted as bed rails and we had to stick the cushions somewhere anyway. We called down to the front desk and said never mind to the bed rails- and our DS was only 2.

She will probably be just fine in the sofa sleeper. When our 2 1/2 year old twin grandsons were with us at Kidani, the bed rails didn't work on the sofa so we bought 2 large pool noodles and put them on either side under the bottom sheet. They worked great, although I think they would have been fine without them. We then gifted them to a family with young kids heading to the pool on our last day.
